About Us

The same year that the Chipko movement was started in Chamoli, the Terracotta army was found in China and the all women Japanese team climbed the first 8,000 meter peak in Nepal, I learned the art of making this delectable accompaniment to our favorite family time, a meal.

Under the expert tutelage of my caring mother, I came to learn how to pickle in our ‘little kitchen’. Moving to a whole new part of the country after marriage, I found a loving mother in law who  contributed to the recipe with her family traditions. For many years we shared a dream; to ones day start a business and ship this pickle to different parts of the country. To have people enjoy these flavors in places that we can't even pronounce.
